I feel like a housewife from a 1960s sitcom because I’ve been on Valium for 30 years. I’m now in my 60s and really just take the diazepam to avoid diazepam withdrawal symptoms. I’m concerned because I’ve read that the use of diazepam can lead to a higher incidence of falls as people get older but I feel helpless because I just don’t know how to taper off this drug. My doctor tells me it’s going to be very difficult time terrified of the anxiety that comes from even missing two days. Any ideas? |
