When I was given a IV of Levaquin a few years ago. I have not been able to walk, bend, squat, or even lift anything more then a few pounds without without extreme pain in deep in and around my bones. Have you heard of anyone that this has continue long after being put on a IV drip and a RX for another week. I am only 57 but now my body feels like I am in my 80′s. I have done physical therapy for the last few years that only provides very little relief. I thank you for your time and look forward to finding out why my body is still this way. |

I took levaquin for 14 days for a sinus infection and have acute bilateral achilles tendonitis with extreme risk of rupture. I am going to PT and the cold laser treatment and ultrasound and stretching along with ankle exercises along with icing seem to be helping some. I was unable to even walk around my house for a week and just now am able to drive myself to PT. Karen g |

I have been having severe leg/knee pains for the last 2 weeks I have been taking this drug. This is the second incidence of this happening and I am just putting the pieces together. It feels like my calves and knees are tearing when I attempt to walk and I am unable to bend my knees fully. |

I have had the same experience with Levaquin the last 2 times I have been on it. I am 47 years old, but feel more like 80 after taking this medication. The symptoms slowly fade, and after about a month I am back to normal! |

I was prescribed Levaquin for my bronchitis. After 3-4 days of taking it, I noticed both my ankles were swollen, and heels hurt when I walked. I notified my PCP, and she told me to stop taking it. After 17 days of not taking it, I am still suffering from the swelling which only goes down with cold compress. Now I noticed that my knees and hands are tight. I will see a Rheumatologist and hopefully find out what’s going on. |

About a month ago I was prescribed Levaquin for acute bronchitis, sinus infection, ear infection and possible strep throat. I was on it for 10 days. During that time, my right shoulder started to hurt. I thought it was just from laying on my right side so much. Don’t think that’s why anymore. I still have noticible pain whenever I move it…it feels as if it is slipping out of the socket and then back in…not pleasant. Haven’t reported this to anyone at this point. The doc that prescribed it works at an Immediate Care center….never saw him before and probably won’t ever see him again. Wondering if I need to notify him of these symptoms anyway. Also wondering if I can expect these symptoms to go away eventually. |
