I have been having the leg problems and my ankles and feet feel cold and lose feeling so bad my shoes come off and I don’t even know it. I’ve been on Lisinopril for several years now and never thought that it could be the causing this until today. I had run out of Lisinopril and went without any BP med for 3 days and my legs were okay. Another doctor had just prescribed Clonidine in place of the Lisinoprilbut I was hesitant to take it because I am very sensitive to new meds. On no meds my legs had stopped hurting to walk and my feet regained some feeling. I finally had to take one Clonidine 0.1mg because my BP got really high but it was very sedating so I’m thinking that for me it is too high a dose, but…my legs didn’t hurt to walk. My refill on the Lisinopril came today and I took it and within 6 to 8 hours my legs were hurting very badly when I had to walk outside to the curb and back for the trash containers. I think it IS the Lisinopril and will talk with the new doctor about taking 1/2 of the Clonidine as it does seem to control my blood pressure without making it hard for me to walk. I do wish doctors would be more aware of adverse side effects and pay attention when their patients tell of new problems developing. If I can find this site again I will give an update on how my legs do on Clonidine. |

Thank you all for your posts. I just started Lisinopril and am stopping it. No cough, just a burning in the chest and some leg muscle issues. But I am concerned that Lipitor started this whole mess, and Chantix is finishing me off.I took for several years, stopped 4-5 years ago due to muscle weakness, and have since developed this high blood pressure. I have been on Chantix for 3 YEARS. I had no side effects, very fun vivid dreams. After my dr appt where high blood pressure found, I read the newest info on Chantix and found they have added heart problems as a side effect. I am very concerned about muscle damage, including my heart muscle. Had heart workup one year ago and all was fine but have a lot of chest burning now. What a mess I am now. No more pills. |

Yes I have leg pain in the same places. I have been on Lisinopril since Sep. 2011. I also have the cough, but it fades towards the end of a 30 day cycle for a few days and then starts back. |

I have the same problem my legs are so sore its hard to walk very far and I’m also on warfarin so the fatigue and dizziness makes it hard to work. |

I have had a cough for awhile now and it is so bothersome, cough drops help it right away but it sure is persistent. Also, My legs and feet bother me to the point that I cannot walk long distance’s or in a store shopping without using an electric cart. Had no idea it was the Lisinopril. I will speak with my doctor and insist on changing my meds. Thanks so much for helping me see the damage this med is doing. would like to stop this med but need to seek medical advice before I do that. Although, they have shown me little so far. |

I have been taking 10 mg.of Lisinopril for many years and only experienced the cough, was recently changed to another BP medicine, and my legs started cramping at night. Going back to Lisinopril. Have exercised for years and not had leg or foot problems while on Lisinopril. |

Hi I was researching Lisinopril. I started Savella 2 days before starting Lisinopril.i ended up having a reaction to the Savella (Seratonin Syndrome) stopped immediately. My legs were sore at the time. I was put on Lyrica 3 weeks later. I took it for 2 weeks. Each day my legs got worse. I feel like I am walking with concrete blocks on my feet, mornings are worse. I contacted my Neuro says there is no side effects of trouble walking. If I do not hold onto things I will fall on my face. My Neuro’s office called said to look into Lisinopril. This is how I ran across your site and posting. I hafe a call to my PCP I want off of this. Thank you for sharing. |
