Have been on Lisinopril-HCTZ for 3 plus years. Have never experienced any of the side effects noted above. No cough. No hair loss. Two weeks ago my doctor increased my dosage from 10mg to 20-25mg. I noted above that one person spoke in another thread about the sensation of having a broken toe. Had not thought about this until reading that, but concurrent with the increased dosage the ball beneath my left big toe has felt like it is sprained or broken. Not sure if this is related to the increased dosage or not. |

I’ve been taking Lisinopril for 1 month for high blood pressure. I started at 2.5 mg and when that didn’t lower my pressure, my doctor upped the dosage to 5 mg. My blood pressure is stilll high but more disturbing is that I suddenly have joint pain in my hands and knees. Mike, I am guessing this could be caused by the Lisinopril? |

I have been on this med for 8mos. Had the scratching in my throat and also chest pains down my left arm. Went to emer and was told I had costochondritis. i think its a side effect from Lisinopril. I am on 20mg. I am wondering if I should stop at once or work myself off. In 2004 I was taking Lipitor and my left elbow hurt. I couldn’t pick up a gal of milk. I read here lots of people had that. I came off the next day,,,that pain went away and has only come back now. |

… the side effects I’ve noticed since using this drug are a dry cough, finger and hamstring cramps, dizziness, and loss of good coordination and reflex time when playing tennis. I usually drink salty water to stop the cramps .. and that works. I often reduce my Lisinopril dose before playing in tournaments, which really helps my game. |

Yes I have leg pain in the same places. I have been on Lisinopril since Sep.2011. I also have the cough, but it fades towards the end of a 30 day cycle for a few days and then starts back. |

First of all I want to thank everyone for their great postings they helped me tremendously. I have been on this drug since 11/22/11 the second day I already starter feeling pain in my joints, back and generally my whole body aches also abdominal cramps and chronic diarrhea My next appointment is 12/6/11 I will let my doc know why I got off this nightmare pill. That’s right I’m off this pill today. My advice to everyone is DON’T let your doctors lack of attention during your 2 minute appointment tell you it will be fine when you know it’s not. Come on people get online get informed you know your body better then any one else. Don’t be scared to tell your doctor No…find me something else and if that on dose not work look again! |
