I have been taking Tramadol for about two weeks for low back pain. I have been diagnosed with degenerative disk disease. My dosage is 50 mg every six hours as needed. I usually only take it in the morning and at bedtime. It works pretty well and a bit better than Aleve. So far no adverse side effects other than some light-headedness during the day. Obviously, we are all wired differently and thus have differing reactions to meds. I agree with others who recommend discussing side effects with prescribing physician.

I have been on Tramadol for ten months now since I hurt my back and was in pain (really bad pain!) every day.
It works well, however I have experienced some of the mentioned side effects and one I have not yet seen noted is itchy face and nose.
This only happens when I have had to take two three times a day instead of my usual one twice a day.

Do you find that when you take them that they do the trick because I have been diagnosed with muscle spasms of the spine and torn muscle on the right hand side n the physio n doc say taking these will relax muscle for treatment but do these work for it. Please someone advise me.

I just started taking this for low back pain due to two.herniataed discs and stenosis. I have had severed itchiness everywhere, especially the nose, face, arms and torso. I have had dizziness, nausea and lack of appetite as well. My pain, however, is severely reduced, bit the dizziness and nausea are very discomforting. I have felt a slight euphoria since starting this drug, as well as mild confusion and persistent drowsiness. There seems to be a lot of side effects for me with this drug. I am 29 and otherwise healthy.
